The Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports and WRPM announce
country music superstars Montgomery Gentry to headline the first
annual WAM JAM Charity Concert
Concord, NC – July, 7 2007 – The Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports (WAM) and Witherell Racing
Promotions and Marketing (WRPM LLC) are pleased to announce country music superstars
Montgomery Gentry are headlining the first annual WAM JAM Charity Concert. This event is
slated to take place on October 20, 2007, at Fieldcrest Stadium in Kannapolis, NC, home of the
minor league baseball team, the Kannapolis Intimidators.
Brian Bell, Industry Relations Manager for WAM, states “We are very excited to put on an event of
this magnitude, and to have such a major act as Montgomery Gentry as the headliner. All of us at
WAM with the assistance of WRPM, reached out to the Nashville community searching for the
right act for this first annual event, and Montgomery Gentry stepped up to the plate. We also
have to thank Fieldcrest Stadium, who donated the facility for this event.”
“Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium is proud to partner with WAM to bring this one-of-a-kind concert to
the Kannapolis area,” said Tim Mueller, Vice President of the Kannapolis Intimidators. “The First
Annual WAM JAM Charity Concert is going to be a fun-filled event that will benefit the charitable
contributions that WAM gives back to the community.”
WRPM has come on board with the Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports (WAM) to produce the first
annual WAM JAM Charity Concert. President, Jeff Witherell states “We at WRPM are so excited to
team up with WAM and Montgomery Gentry, to hold such a major fundraising concert that will
benefit so many groups that WAM reaches out to.”
The Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports’, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, mission is to enrich the
lives of women, children, and families through educational and wellness programs. In addition,
the Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports, Inc. helps support organizations with likeminded missions
and purposes.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 14, and can be purchased through the WAM website at www.
waminc.org or at www.intimidatorsbaseball.com. Tickets are $25 in advance, $32.50 day of show,
and a limited number of 500 Diamond Seating tickets will be available on a first-come-first-serve
basis for $49.50.
